Trooped The Last Jedi Premier at Lake Mary, Florida, for the Rebel Legion with my wife and her 16 yo grandson, Charles "Gavin". We did the first 45 minutes in our Bith Cantina Band costumes (forgot the battery packs for the in-mask fans), then we switched to our Rebel Fleet Trooper costumes. Gavin was in his custom Mando Mercenary (he's a Galactic Academy member, so it just has to be Star Wars style in appearance, not screen accurate like Patti & mine has to be). Patti & I got lots of "great costume" & "awesome" comments on both our costume sets, and of course lots of pics were taken. We did the costume appearance from 6:30 to 9:30, then got un-costumed to actually see The Last Jedi (perk of trooping, we got free tickets). Overall, I felt The Last Jedi was better than The Force Awakens. Original storyline and plot, compared to the rehashed A New Hope plot of The Force Awakens. We still don't know where Snoke came from, but we don't have to worry about him anymore. The fight scene with the First Order Royal Guards was awesome. Luke facing down the entire First Order attack force by himself is truly legendary ("Fire EVERY weapon we have at him!!!!"). The humorous moments did not distract from the story, the drama was not too thick. I was disappointed that the new "Han Solo" scoundrel did not redeem himself in the end. He had a nice character set up, but in the end was just another mercenary out for just himself. Still looked very much like Star Wars in the original trilogy style, we had some new ships as would be expected from a period set 30 years in the timeline after the originals, but still, 30 year old style X-Wings, TIE Fighters and A-Wings? That's like seeing WWI style Biplanes in a late-mid period WWII movie.
